Cosy Hot Water Bottle

Hi!
I have had this Debbie Bliss Hot Water Bottle kit for ages and my mum and I decided that we just had to sew it up quickly other wise it would never get used! I got it for christmas and finished the knitting of it quickly but never got round to sewing it up. It is in a lovely blue and a really nice cream. In the picture you will see that the neck is white. This was not in the original pattern! Unfortunately there was not enough wool in the kit so I had to use the cream wool which was for the flower. I was lucky that it didn't use that much wool as my stitches were tight and I still have enough to go on the front of the hot water bottle. The flower is in the making as we speak.
Happy knitting!

Five hour cardigan

I have been making a cardigan which should take five hours. I am hoping that it will only take five hours, but I am already an hour and a half in and haven't even finished the yoke yet! It is looking great though. It will be so cute when it's done. It is in a Debbie bliss wool which is really lovely to knit with. I will update you next week on how it goes.

The Great British Sewing Bee!

Hi!
I have been watching the Great British Sewing Bee and have not missed a single episode ( even if that's not pretty hard as there has only been two.) All of them are so talented and I think it is such a great idea for a T.V show. I cannot wait to see the next one on Tuesday. I really hope it comes back next year. I love the fact that they give patterns at the end of each show. They make it seem so easy though. How do they it so fast!!
My favourite contestants are Anne and Lauren. They are probably as far away from each other as you can get. Where Anne comes with experience, Lauren is very eager to go and is learning as the show goes on.
Does anyone know what happened to Jane? Please comment and tell how you find the show.

What you need to knit!!

Hi Olivia here

I have had a really nice holiday and as I was relaxing in Cornwall ( great weather) I thought that maybe I should do a check list of thing I need when I am knitting. Especially as I have come back to discover Britain in bleak mid winter I have plenty of time to knit.
This is my list of ten things that I think are essential to help you knit.

1. A comfy chair

2. A hot drink

3. Needles

4. Nice wool

5. Lots of time

6. A little something to eat

7. A good T.V programme to watch

8. Slippers on!

9. Feel relaxed

10. A great pattern!!

Easter balls!!

I have been knitting Easter baubles this week. They are from an another amazing book from Arne & Carlos, called Easter Knits. I made one yesterday which is the one in the pictures, and have just started a new one now. The ball I am knitting now has little tulips in pots and is very cute. I haven't been knitting with dale of Norway yarn though as was turning out to be really expensive shipping it over from America. I have been using Millamia wool and works just as well, maybe even better. I got the idea from a blog which suggest this and thought it would be a good idea to have a go with it. I have only used Millamia wool twice before and I love it!!
Here are some pictures. Will post a picture of the other bauble when I have finished.
