Fit for a baby

Hello,
I've been busy making a hat for a soon to be new born baby. It's the first project I've knitted and I've nearly finished it.

I'm also in the middle of making some jubilee bunting. I haven't got that far yet and I'm just stared to pin the bunting. I'll keep you posted on how I get on. Maisie x

Baby Blanket!

My knee is feeling better and have just taken off my huge bandage. The doctor has said that I need to rest  it and am having the stitches taken out in two weeks. Am hobbling along for now but it should soon get better. I think I'll stick with knitting for week or so!
Have been knitting a baby blanket and it is so nice! I am using some very nice Debbie Bliss wool called cashmerino aran. I have not used very much Debbie Bliss wool as mainly use Rowan but I love the colours I am using and the softness of it is lovely! It is also a very easy knit. I know I should finish a project before I start planning my next but I have found a nice pattern for an embroidery in a Cath Kidston book. Here is a picture of the blanket.

hazardous hobby!!!!!!!

Reporting from A and E as have a sewing needle in my knee! Don't know how long it has been in there but became infected. We thought it was a little piece of dirt but NO! Sewing does have it's consequences! Am going to have an general anaesthetic. Have been here since 7.45 and it is now 3.30. Have moved from 1st to 4th on the list. This is going to be a long day! Knitting in the Alps

Just had a week skiing in Alp d'huez.I was knitting away secretly in my spare time making a hat for my dads birthday. I just managed to finish it  in time for the big day. My dad wore it the next day on the way to the airport. The wool was so nice!It was called rowan lima. So soft!:) I am just about to start a lovely moss stitch baby blanket for a new born baby. Daddy said - "I love it! Better than anything you'd get at the shops! Perfect fit too!"
