Have been so busy making little things. First, I have been making an ampersand for Fred&Eric the company we did the interview with. They ask people to make their version of the ampersand in between the Fred and the Eric. It uses beautiful rowan lima wool in a gorgeous ruby red. I have covered a wooden ampersand with the lovely wool and have knitted a pretty flower as well as a sweet little leaf. They're also knitted in the rowan lima. I used up some of my old scraps lima which was perfect. It would of just been pointless to have bought another two balls of the lima. I still have enough for another flower maybe even another leaf!!!!!!!!!!!

Our fantastic interview with Fred and Eric!!
Hi! On the weekend we went down to London to interview a company called Fred & Eric. They are a t.v production company who love getting crafty and anything handmade. They use lots of their handmade crafts for their animation. Here are the Questions & the Answers:
Q: Why did you choose the name of your company fred and eric?
A: We saw the word 'frederic' and loved the name and split it up into Fred & Eric. It seemed funny at the time, but really isn't!!
Q: What happens to all the crafts after they have been used?
A: They either join the Fred & Eric family on the shelf or given away to someone very special.
Q: What is the best bit about the job?
A: Making soft cuddly toys!!
Q: What is your next project?
Well...... I think it is the green ambassadors project for WWF which will be appearing in schools next year.
Q: What is your favourite thing that you've made?
A: The little cuddles and the southern train Spanish man.
I hope you enjoyed our first interview! They were really friendly and the Fred & Eric family of handmade fun were very, very cuddly and sweet, especially little cuddles and mr special!!! They have had loads of '&'s sent in and they are all unique and fun.
Some of their animation uses their wonderful crafts. There is a link to a video at the end of this post which you can watch and an animation they made for comic relief. We would love to know what you think of the post and the videos so post a comment and tell us what you think!

teacher's tremendous tea cosy!
Hi, Olivia here!
I have been working on a tea cozy for a teacher at school. It has been very tricky as there was loads of cabling and it went a bit wrong on the first half but by the time I had finished it I had mastered cabling! It is made with the best rowan wool ever!
I also learnt how to make a bobble which is very exciting! It feels great to have learnt something new.
I have been busy making pom poms for the top of the tea cosy and they are so cool! Have just finished the third one and they are a great way of using leftover wool. They look brilliant popped on top! I really hope my teacher likes it. We bought a lovely Avoca button cup and a sweet milk and sugar jug with the same button print from my lovely local shop as a tiny something to go with it.
It would be great to know what you think our blog so please leave us a comment. Thanks!

Summer scraps Patch work
Hi,
This is Maisie I hope your all ok! I've been in France on a school trip. It was so fun and that's why we couldn't post! This week I've been busy making a patchwork beanbag, it's not finished yet! All the materials I've used are scraps and left-overs from other projects. My mum is very pleased to get rid of some!
We went to our local sewing and knitting shop yesterday. There was a sale on so we were in there for ages! Olivia was looking mostly at the knitting and I was looking mostly at the sewing, we were in heaven!
Have a great week!

Home is where the heart cushion is!
Hi!
I've got tons of new stuff to put on this blog post, as I've been away for the past week on a school trip to France and have got up to lots of stuff since I've got back.
First thing is to show you my cushion. While I was away my mum was busy sewing up my cushion which I had finished knitting, but had not yet sewn up, and when I got back it was a really lovely surprise to find it finished and ready to snuggle! It used the nicest Rowan wool and is incredibly
soft. The finished result will be on this post, but the start of it is on my first post if you want to check that out.
While I was away on my school trip in France, I went to a market in Dieppe which had the best sewing stool. I did not buy any of the beautiful fabric as it would not have fitted in my suitcase, but could not resist getting something, so bought some lovely lace for two euros! Really good quality and tons of
it there.
Happy crafting!

The Queen Coming To Town
We've been busy with jubilee celebrations! I made lots and lots of bunting because my grandma was having a party. Everyone kept saying what lovely bunting it was and they were very surprised that I made it.
For our next project grandma has asked us to make some cushions for her bench. We've got to make 10(that's quite a lot.) Come back soon to see how we get on!
Hope you have a lovely jubilee so far, and a lovely bank holiday! And hope you don't have too much rain!! From Maisie xxx

patchwork pattern!
Hi there! Am getting all excited about the jubilie. In school me and Maisie are starting patchwork cushions with the nicest red, white and blue fabrics! The pattern is from the latest Cath Kidston book and I am using the nicest ribbon with toy soldiers on. So cute! Have never done patchwork before so a bit nervous. I hope no more surgery is needed! Cannot wait to get started on it on Tuesday. I love that pattern!
