Our fantastic interview with Fred and Eric!!

Hi! On the weekend we went down to London to interview a company called Fred & Eric. They are a t.v production company who love getting crafty and anything handmade. They use lots of their handmade crafts for their animation. Here are the Questions & the Answers:

Q: Why did you choose the name of your company fred and eric?
A: We saw the word 'frederic' and loved the name and split it up into Fred & Eric. It seemed funny at the time, but really isn't!!

Q: What happens to all the crafts after they have been used
A: They either join the Fred & Eric family on the shelf or given away to someone very special.

Q: What is the best bit about the job?
A: Making soft cuddly toys!!

Q: What is your next project?
Well...... I think it is the green ambassadors project for WWF which will be appearing in schools next year.

Q: What is your favourite thing that you've made?
A: The little cuddles and the southern train Spanish man.

I hope you enjoyed our first interview! They were really friendly and the Fred & Eric family of handmade fun were very, very cuddly and sweet, especially little cuddles and mr special!!! They have had loads of '&'s sent in and they are all unique and fun.

Some of their animation uses their wonderful crafts. There is a link to a video at the end of this post which you can watch and an animation they made for comic relief. We would love to know what you think of the post and the videos so post a comment and tell us what you think!

teacher's tremendous tea cosy!

Hi, Olivia here! I have been working on a tea cozy for a teacher at school. It has been very tricky as there was loads of cabling and it went a bit wrong on the first half but by the time I had finished it I had mastered cabling! It is made with the best rowan wool ever! I also learnt how to make a bobble which is very exciting! It feels great to have learnt something new. I have been busy making pom poms for the top of the tea cosy and they are so cool! Have just finished the third one and they are a great way of using leftover wool. They look brilliant popped on top! I really hope my teacher likes it. We bought a lovely Avoca button cup and a sweet milk and sugar jug with the same button print from my lovely local shop as a tiny something to go with it.
It would be great to know what you think our blog so please leave us a comment. Thanks!
